Seetec Group wins national apprenticeship awards
We’re delighted to announce that Seetec Group has received two national awards at the FE Week and AELP AAC Apprenticeship Awards 2019.
Seetec have been awarded Business & Administration Apprenticeship provider of the year, whilst Outsource Vocational Learning, part of the Seetec Group, has been recognised as Apprenticeship Provider of the Year for Transport & Logistics.
Both awards were given during the Annual Apprenticeship Conference Gala Dinner in Birmingham on 28 March. In total, the awards attracted more than 350 entries with a range of new categories celebrating 13 individual apprenticeship routes.
Melanie Nicholson, Seetec’s Executive Director for Excellence, Apprenticeships and Skills, said: “These awards emphasis Seetec’s depth of expertise across a variety of sectors and showcase the diverse opportunities available to young people, existing employees and employers.”
Shane Mann, Managing Director of FE Week’s publisher, said: “These awards are a brilliant opportunity to demonstrate and celebrate the importance of apprenticeships. The volume of entries we’ve received was overwhelming and showcased just how much talent there is in the sector.”
Outsource was presented the Transport & Logistics Award in recognition of more than 20 years’ experience working within the sector. This includes working closely with the British International Freight Association (BIFA) and raising the profile of the sector, as well as developing new apprenticeship standards for aviation and a series of interactive modules for freight forwarding.
Outsource partners with large and small businesses to design flexible programmes, ensuring both apprentices and managers are prepared, so they can be integrated seamlessly to meet operational needs.
Vikki Kerslake from employer DB Schenker highlighted the benefit of working with Outsource: “Outsource really partner with you, it’s like having another arm of your own business. What sets them apart is that they really make the business ready for the apprentices.”
Meanwhile Seetec has been at the forefront of developing the Business Administrator Standard and is achieving high completion rates exceeding national averages. Seetec Group has also led the way in helping large employers to leverage their levy and have worked closely with a multi-national law firm to develop the Business Administrator standard for legal secretaries and administrators.
