National Apprenticeship Week 5-9 March 2018 - Get Involved
National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is just around the corner and the theme this year is ‘Apprenticeships Work’. We’d love for you to help us shine a light on apprenticeships - and in particular Seetec apprenticeships – to showcase how they work for individuals and businesses alike.
If you employ an apprentice within your business you can do this by getting involved in our National Apprenticeship Week campaign. #NAW2018 #jobswap
What do you have to do?
Join our Group Managing Director John Baumback, who started his career with Seetec 30 years ago as an apprentice, in a ‘job swap’.
We’re asking businesses to nominate a senior member of their team to take part in a job swap with one of their apprentices for just one day over National Apprenticeship Week (5-9 March 2018). During the job swap apprentices find out what it’s like to run a company – and get a taste of what their future could hold – while senior staff members experience a day in the life of an apprentice within their business.
Once you’ve pledged to take part in the ‘job swap’ additional campaign activities could include:
- talking to us about your experience as an apprenticeship employer and the benefits that hiring an apprentice brings.
- arranging for us to speak to your apprentice about the experience they’re gaining and how this is shaping their future career path.
- Sharing photos and stories from your jobswap experience with us and on your own social networks.
- taking part in any wider PR opportunities that the campaign attracts (this could include interviews with the press for TV, radio or print publications).
Hopefully we can inspire companies like yours to take on more apprentices and show them that apprenticeships really do work.
Let us know you're taking part
Contact our employer services team and register your pledge by Friday 16 February. We'll be in touch to help you plan for the event and make it a memorable experience for everyone involved.
