We’re proud to share the brand name and identity of our latest initiative that will help train the next generation of engineering and technology specialists.

Part of Seetec Outsource, backed by leading engineering, manufacturing and technology businesses, and based at the prestigious CEME premises in Rainham, Innovion will offer apprenticeships and training in engineering, manufacturing and information technology. This includes training for school leavers, as well as upskilling and reskilling of employers’ existing staff.

A new approach

Representing a new approach to advanced technical training and apprenticeships, and offering an alternative model to traditional college-based delivery, Innovion will work closely with industry employers to design and deliver training that meets the needs for technical skills in the 21st century.

Speaking about the initiative, Executive Director of Apprenticeships, Excellence and Skills Melanie Nicholson said: “We live in a world where the economy is increasingly global, the technical revolution is driving rapid change and the engineering, manufacturing and technology sectors are crucial to the UK’s success. Yet right now, there’s a real shortage of higher level of skills in these areas, with an ageing workforce and too few new entrants.

“Innovion offers a new approach to higher level skills training: one that’s shaped by employers who are best placed to advise on the skills they’ll need in the future. By working closely with Innovion, employers get to play an active role in the content, delivery and quality assurance of their programme, drawing upon our expertise in training delivery and the apprenticeship levy.”

Neil Bates, Technical Director for Innovion added, “ Innovion represents an exciting new approach to the delivery of high quality STEM apprenticeships in the Region. London and the South East is home to 250,000 engineering, manufacturing and technology businesses, more than a third of the UK total. These businesses need access to a high quality, expert provider, industry standard training equipment and excellent technical training professionals so that they can train their existing and future workforce. Innovion is that provider. Innovion is training and apprenticeships designed for industry by industry. “
