Seetec Gains Further Recognition for Social Value Initiatives
Seetec is delighted to have been awarded a silver GM Social Value Award in recognition of our support for initiatives that have benefited the wider community. This follows the bronze award we secured earlier in the year.
The GM Social Value Awards were launched by the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce to formally recognise the hard work, time and resources given by its members to social value initiatives. These include school programmes, the Apprentice Share scheme and Young Chamber activity.
Seetec works closely with schools, colleges and pupil referral units in the Greater Manchester area to raise awareness of the range of post-16 routeways and develop employability skills that will prepare young people for the world of work. We also work with businesses to explore the opportunities available to young people and the unemployed.
Initiatives have included holding mock interviews, CV writing workshops and employability sessions at schools across Greater Manchester. We’ve also delivered careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) and exhibited at school careers fairs and futures events. In addition we’ve worked with employers in the area to provide a number of work placement opportunities for year 12 students.
We look forward to strengthening the partnerships we’ve developed in Greater Manchester over the coming months to ensure the work we do continues to impact positively on the wider community.
