A Win for Seetec in Liverpool
We’re delighted to announce that we’ll be working with Liverpool Combined Authority to help support the city's unemployed.
Over the next 12 months, we’ll be delivering programmes to individuals aged 19 and over as part of the adult education budget (AEB). Our programme is set to support people across the Liverpool City Region, helping to develop their skills and move successfully into employment.
Our focus will be on delivering employment training across sectors such as travel and tourism, retail, hospitality, construction and transport. As part of the programme, our learners will have the opportunity to take part in work-based training and gain experience with local employers through work placements, employability training and on-the-job experiences. Our adult education activity will also be delivered in Liverpool city centre and community hubs across the region.
Andi MacGregor, Head of Adult Education and Traineeships at Seetec said: “The adult education programme will play a vital role in achieving the industrial strategy of Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and the Metro Mayor for Liverpool City Region. As a leading provider of education and training, with a strong history of developing skills and benefiting communities, we’re delighted to have been appointed to deliver the AEB programme.
“We’ll be working closely with employers, referral partners and the third sector to create opportunities that help move unemployed residents into sustainable employment.”
