If you have great practical skills and prefer a role that’s ‘hands on’ then you’ll enjoy working in a busy warehouse environment. You’ll learn how to use a range of equipment, machinery and vehicles to safely undertake activities which could include receiving deliveries, moving stock or picking and packing customer orders.
Airside operators are the ‘eyes and ears’ of the airfield team – you’ll spend much of your working day or night out on the airfield patrolling, inspecting and then addressing situations to ensure the safe and timely flow of arriving and departing aircraft.
Supply Chain Manager
With strong planning and organisational skills you’ll work out the most efficient way of getting a product or service from supplier to customer. You may need to negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers or work out the best way to transport goods to distribution centres and retailers.
Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) Driver
Love the open road? As an LGV Driver you’ll make sure that the right products are delivered on time and to the right location, along with the correct documentation. You’ll need to be able to drive in a safe and fuel efficient manner and have the ability to concentrate for long periods.
Flight Operations Specialist
As a flight operations specialist you’ll support key team members – including flight crew and air traffic controllers – in facilitating the smooth flow of air traffic. Duties could include monitoring weather forecasts, identifying hazards and distributing information as necessary.
Aircraft Handling Manager
In this specialist role you’ll be a key decision maker with responsibility for the aviation environment on the ground. You’ll manage airside ramp operations, ensure the safe movement of aircraft within your area of responsibility, and plan and manage resources including team members, vehicles and baggage handling equipment.
