Melanie leads on the quality of the apprenticeships and skills programmes and to implement a robust apprenticeship and skills strategy which supports future reforms and growth. Melanie is passionate about helping others to improve their skills and succeed in their chosen field.
Melanie has over 22 years’ experience in the apprenticeship and skills arena. For the past twelve years, she has held a director of skills role where she led on the apprenticeship and skills strategy and delivery for large corporate employers and training providers. Melanie has also acted as the nominee in three Ofsted inspections within different organisations over the last six years – all of which were graded as Good (Grade 2) in all areas.
Melanie led and was the chair for the trailblazer qualifications in Leadership and Management. She worked with a group of over thirty employers, fifteen universities, the Chartered Management Institute and the Association of Business Schools to develop a new, government-backed Level 6 Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship in Leadership and Management. She went on to lead and chair the group to develop Team Leader Level 3 and Operational Manager Level 5.
