The Mayor of Hillingdon, Councillor Shirley
Harper-O’Neill, cut the ribbon to mark the official opening of
Seetec’s Uxbridge centre on Wednesday 21st October.
The centre delivers the ESF funded
Opportunities London programme which include pre-employment soft
skills training, employment support modules and work focused
training for people living in West London. The employment and
training programme is also delivered from new offices in
Hounslow.
The programme is open to all people that are
inactive in the workplace including, the unemployed, those on
health related benefits, Lone Parents, the over 50s and those with
other disadvantages in the labour market – such as ethnic minority
groups, ex-offenders, those with histories of drug and alcohol
misuse, the homeless, refugees and other JSA customers.
Seetec Employment & Training Manager
Andrea Munden said “Our two new offices will be able to provide
local support to people within the borough of Hillingdon and
Hounslow. This programme will enable us to help customers in their
search for work and gives them the chance to network with people
within their community.”
The Mayor of Hillingdon, said, “I am delighted

provide a great support for people seeking employment during this
challenging time”
The programme is part time, ranging from a
minimum of six hours per week up to 16 hours per week, with the
average length being 13 weeks, but up to a maximum of 52
weeks.
