Seetec Stevenage combined a job fair with raising money and was
delighted with the success. The job fair was held on Friday
19
th March to coincide with Sport Relief and the
attendees and staff did a fantastic job in raising more then £400.
The monies raised to be split between Sports Relief and Childrens
Leukemia.
As one of the UK's leading Government Funded
Training providers with 25 years experience of delivering Welfare
to Work Programmes and helping people back into work, Seetec
supports many events and charities across the UK with its portfolio
of over 70 centres.
As well as raising money the event was
organised to bring job seekers and employers together. More then
150 jobseekers visited the event and had the opportunity to meet
face to face with many local businesses that had vacancies to fill.
On the day over 140 applications were made to a variety of jobs
with many appointments being made for further meetings after the
event. Seetec hosts many events like this all over the UK and are
always pleased with the response and feedback.
Susan Dowding, Business Development
Consultant in Stevenage said;
“There has been a real buzz around the centre
today. I am really happy with the turn out. It has been a great
opportunity for employers to meet motivated job seekers”.
