Seetec Continues to be a Good Quality Training Provider - August 2009

Seetec, one of the UK’s leading Government Funded training providers, continues to be recognised as a provider of ‘good’ quality training after being awarded a grade 2 in North East London in their recent Ofsted inspection for delivery of the New Deal employment programme.

 

Ofsted, the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills, inspects education and training for learners of all ages to ensure that services meet the interests of their users, are efficient, effective and value for money as well as identifying areas for improvement.

 

In Waltham Forest, Havering and Redbridge, Seetec provides 18-24 year olds who have been out of work for six months or more and claiming Jobseekers Allowance (JSA) with the opportunity to get a job and enhance their employability through high quality work, education and training.

 

Participants on the New Deal programme, which is contracted from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), can access a wide range of support including subsidised employment, full-time education or training leading to a recognised qualification and work placements within the voluntary sector and local environmental projects.

 

Ofsted stated “Seetec provides good teaching and learning and offers a particularly wide range of good quality work placements.  They also meet the needs and interests of their customers and provide good support, advice and guidance”.
