Seetec Delivers Opportunities London - October 2009

Specialist training provider Seetec has teamed up with Jobcentre Plus and ESF to deliver Opportunities London*, to help get West London’s unemployed back to work.

 

Under the initiative Seetec offers individually tailored employment training programmes from its new offices in Uxbridge and Hounslow.

 

The programmes include pre-employment soft skills training, employment support modules and work focused training for people living in West London.

 

The programme is open to all people that are inactive in the workplace including, the unemployed, those on health related benefits, Lone Parents, the over 50s and those with other disadvantages in the labour market – such as ethnic minority groups, ex-offenders, those with histories of drug and alcohol misuse, the homeless, refugees and other JSA customers.

 

Seetec, one of the UK’s leading Government Funded training providers, has a local team of 12 experienced consultants to help west Londoner’s back into sustainable work.

 

Seetec Employment & Training Manager Andrea Munden said “Our two new offices will be able to provide local support to people within the borough of Hillingdon and Hounslow. This programme will enable us to help customers in their search for work and gives them the chance to network with people within their community.”

 

The Mayor of Hillingdon, Councillor Shirley Harper-O’Neill, attending the opening of Seetec’s office in Uxbridge on Wednesday 21st October said,“ I am delighted that Seetec are providing this service to the community of Hillingdon and Hounslow. Opportunities London* programme will provide a great support for people seeking employment during this challenging time”

 

The programme is part time, ranging from a minimum of six hours per week up to 16 hours per week, with the average length being 13 weeks, but up to a maximum of 52 weeks.
