Seetec, one of the UK’s leading Government
Funded training providers, continues to be recognised as a provider
of ‘good’ quality training after being awarded a grade 2 in the
West of England in their recent Ofsted inspection for delivery of
the New Deal employment programme.
Ofsted, the Office for Standards in Education,
Children's Services and Skills, inspects education and training for
learners of all ages to ensure that services meet the interests of
their users, are efficient, effective and value for money as well
as identifying areas for improvement.
In Bristol, Bath and Weston-super-Mare, Seetec
along with its subcontractors provide people who have been out of
work for 6 months or more, and claiming Jobseekers Allowance (JSA)
with the opportunity to get a job and enhance their employability
through high quality work, education and training.
Participants on the New Deal programme, which
is contracted from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), can
access a wide range of support including subsidised employment,
full-time education or training leading to a recognised
qualification and work placements within a variety of sectors
including hospitality, warehousing, and care.
Ofsted stated “Seetec has a well-established
and clear commitment to tackling disadvantage and unemployment with
staff having a very good understanding of the challenges faced by
customers in overcoming their barriers to work. Meeting the
needs and interests of their customers, Seetec provides good
support, advice and guidance and offer customers a wide range of
good quality work placements”.

West of England was very pleased with the grade saying “this award
is a real credit to the Seetec team, stakeholders and local
partners who have striven to improve our services to customers
during these difficult times. We are delighted that Ofsted has
recognised these strengths and are looking forward to continuing
