Seetec members of staff who use childcare facilities for their
children whilst they work can now receive help to pay for their
fees through a new childcare voucher scheme Seetec has
launched.
The new initiative which was launched on 17th September is in
conjunction with Busy Bees Childcare Vouchers. It allows staff to
have up to £55 per week of their salary paid in registered
childcare vouchers which will be exempt from Tax and National
Insurance contributions, saving parents up to £1,196 a year,
depending on their pay cycle and earnings.
The vouchers are Government and HMRC approved and can be used
to pay for all registered or approved childcare throughout the UK,
from nursery fees to school holiday activities for children up to
16 years old.
Seetec, an organisation who delivers Government funded
programmes helping people back into work and offering lifelong
learning opportunities, has 46 employment and learning centres
nationally with over 400 staff. Seetec has followed a rise in
demand from staff for assistance with childcare fees and builds on
their other family friendly policies such as flexible working
hours.
Ann-Marie Conway, Human Resources Manager, said, "The
introduction of childcare vouchers is part of Seetec's commitment
to being a family friendly employer. The scheme is widely used
across the UK and we are delighted to be able to introduce it to
Seetec. The vouchers represent real savings for families which will
be very welcome in the current economic climate"
