Opportunities London
Opportunities London provides flexible and individual support
for people who live within the
districts of Richmond, Kingston, Merton, Sutton, Croydon, Bromley,
Barnet, Enfield, Haringey and Waltham
Forest.
The programme is made up of individual packages of support and
training. So depending on your
circumstances, whether you have a disability or health condition,
childcare or caring
responsibilities, or your skills need updating we can tailor the
programme to fit around you.
For example, Opportunities London
offers:
- Occupational training such as CSCS, Forklift, IT, Retail,
Administration
- Certification/Licence courses such as Health & Safety,
First Aid, Food Hygiene
- Soft skills training; developing communication, team working,
problem solving skills
- Jobsearch help and support
- Confidence, motivation and self esteem building sessions
- Work experience with tasters and placements, work trials or
even self-employment
Our friendly team offers a comprehensive advice service to
support you from your initial meeting
through to when you secure employment.
We can provide you with:
- A dedicated Personal Adviser who will support you throughout
the programme and when you find employment
- Advice on the financial support that may be available to you,
which includes: The £40 per week Return to Work Credit
(subject to conditions) and the Permitted Work scheme, which can
allow you to work part-time, whilst on Incapacity Benefit, earning
up to £88 per week with protection for your benefit if
employment doesn't work out
- Access to specialist support services
- Childcare solutions and available grants
- Health support and advice
Opportunities London is brought to you free by Seetec in
partnership with Jobcentre Plus and the European Social Fund.

skills and confidence and move into work.
The service is available to all people who are currently out
of work including people who are claiming:
