Seetec is one of eight suppliers who have been awarded contracts for supplying IT systems to GP's in England, under the GP Systems of Choice (GPSoC) scheme which is part of the National Programme for IT (NPfIT)

 

The NPfIT which is said to be the world's biggest civil information technology program will connect England's 30,000 GPs to 300 hospitals allowing access to all patient records by health professionals and patients.  Under the original plans for the NPfIT, GP practice systems were to be provided through five regional local service providers (LSPs) but GP's complained that a supplier monopoly was being created killing innovation and increasing cost. 

 

Under this scheme, GP's will be able to select their preferred IT system from a list of suppliers who have all met the minimum standards as set down by the NHS IT plan.  This is positive news for Seetec's GP Enterprise clients who can now continue using our system and for future long term growth of GP Enterprise in the NHS market.
