The Right Tools For Sucess
John had been unemployed since March 2005 and joined the New
Deal Intensive Activity Period with Seetec's Chelmsford centre in
May 2007. Prior to his period of unemployment, John had felt
unsettled in his work resulting in frequent job changes; he had
been a Mobile Service Engineer, Bus Driver, Taxi Driver and Mobile
Sky Installer.
As a youngster he had also started an apprenticeship in
Mechanics but unfortunately he didn't finish the course due to the
company folding. John had a keen interest in mechanics but had last
worked in this field over 12 years ago and knew his skills and
knowledge were out of date.
Cindy, Senior Employment Consultant, helped John with
restructuring his CV and referred him to Leigh, Placement
Co-ordinator to identify a suitable work placement, where John
could update his skills.
Leigh referred John to Nationwide Autocentre and after a
successful interview he started his placement on 4th June. John has
really impressed his employer with his commitment, motivation and
working skills and has since been offered a full time position by
the Manager. He started work on Monday 25th June.
