In order to meet the shortage of gas installers in Essex, this
project provides Gas Service training to long term unemployed and
customers of any working age who are claiming benefits and actively
seeking work in the Gas Industry.
Active Energy delivers 6 months of work experience in a CORGI
registered business with a fully integrated package of modules
provided by an ACS accredited assessment centre. This extended
period of gas training and experience will allow each customer to
produce a portfolio of evidence and provide the necessary 'off the
job' training record for CORGI registration.
The programme also includes a comprehensive package of support
which includes assistance with jobsearch, in-work support and self
employment preparation, if needed.
