Work Placements
Seetec is a privately owned company that has over 20 years of
experience of delivering back to work programmes and work focused
training for Jobcentre Plus, the Learning and Skills Council and
Government Offices.
Over the years we have found that employers, in general, look
to recruit personnel who have some knowledge of the world of work.
Many of our clients are either too young to have gained this
experience or have been out of the labour market for a while,
making their experiences out-dated and out-moded. As a training and
job broking organisation we are always looking for employers who
can offer our clients work placements. In so doing, organisations
can directly benefit themselves:
How can organisations benefit?
- By offering work placements organisations increase their
chances of meeting their objectives by having free additional
staff.
- The service that surrounds work placements is absolutely free
of charge. There are no salaries, tax, national insurance, fees etc
to be paid.
- If organisations are looking to recruit employees into work
placement positions on a permanent basis there is the opportunity
to assess the suitability of the learners within the positions
without commitment or incurring salary costs.
- Seetec supports organisations and learners throughout
placements in order to maximise the chances of the placement's
success.
- We can match organisations' specific skills needs with our
training provision and close skills' gaps within the organisation's
workplace.
- The organisation will be helping the local community by
providing opportunities for out-of-work individuals to move closer
to the labour market, if not directly into it.
- Organisations will be offered pre-interviewed and pre-screened
learners who meet the organisation's exact requirements, thus
saving time, effort and money.
- We will satisfactorily resolve any placement issues that may
arise with the placement.
- We provide occupational training materials for the learner
making them even more productive.
- We can provide advice on a wide range of employment issues such
as Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities, Employment of People
with Disabilities etc.
- As a partner of Seetec, organisations receive free promotion
and advertising e.g. increased exposure of the organisations brand,
good news stories etc.
- In return, all the organisation needs to do is to:
- Treat learners with respect just like other staff.
- Ensure that learners are working in a safe environment.
- Provide learners with any training that they require to do the
job.
- Encourage learners to find permanent employment.
