Encouragement to Work
Encouragement to Work is a part time programme
for people with mild to moderate learning disabilities and gives
them the opportunity to be helped into paid employment. The
focus of the programme is to encourage customers' participation in
work placements resulting in gained confidence, stamina and
enhanced skills.
In addition to work experience, customers
receive flexible and individualised job action planning,
personalised vocational and personal development, assistance with
jobsearch and a comprehensive package of in-work
support.
For those customers who feel they need some
extra support in order to participate, can be reassured that the
programme has been designed so that family, carers and specialist
agencies can be involved. This programme is available to
people in Cambridgeshire and Suffolk.
