Progressive Steps to Work

 

Progressive Steps to Work maintains the momentum of New Deal for beneficiaries leading to enhanced employability and increased opportunities to gain work. The programme is designed for long-term unemployed who are participating in or leaving New Deal or Work Based Learning for Adults without a job in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk or Suffolk.

 

The provision overcomes any remaining barriers faced by disadvantaged beneficiaries from across the region by building upon beneficiaries' strengths through a work first focused programme.

 

The programme provides individually tailored packages of back to work measures including: guidance; employer led job broking, short occupational training, additional back-to-work support, travel, work experience, in-work development and pastoral support.
