The Apprenticeships programme is a Work Based Learning scheme that has been created by the Learning and Skills Council and is funded by the Government.

 

It is designed for people aged between, 16 - 24 and who are not currently in full-time education.

 

Work Based Learning is exactly what it says, you go to work. you earn an allowance and You learn skills that help you work to a very high standard. Seetec find placements (work experience and training opportunities), within companies for young people and helps them Work, Earn and Learn. Support is available for those who may need a little extra help to enable them to complete a qualification and gain employment.

 

You can contact Seetec and tell us what you want to do. We will listen to you and work with you to reach your goals and if we cannot meet your requirements then we will advise you where to go to get the expert advice you need.

 

We find placements in all types of Offices, Factories, Workshops, Leisure Centres and Estate Agents, in fact so many companies use Seetec we cover most of Essex.

 

With Seetec you could undertake an Apprenticeship programme in  Business Administration,  Estate Agency, Customer Service or Warehousing..  If you find a placement through Seetec, you will  undertake an Apprenticeship qualification that is the equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grades A-C. While you are working a weekly training allowance will be made available plus you will receive help towards travel costs.

 

Not everyone wants to stay on at 6th form or go on to college, some may just prefer a 'hands on' approach to learning. This is exactly what Work Based Learning is all about, therefore Work Based Learning is an excellent alternative, enabling you to gain the real skills and relevant qualification needed to get a job or career.
