Networking is the design, administration, repair and continuous development of a network of computers. Networks allow computers to transfer information to each other. The largest network in the world is the Internet. Networked computers are commonplace in most businesses.

Certification
The Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification will advance your career by ensuring you have the skills to successfully manage and troubleshoot system environments running on the Microsoft Windows operating system. The MCSA comprises 4 exams:
·   Configuring and Administering Microsoft Windows XP  Professional.
·   Configuring and Administering Microsoft Windows 2003 Server.
·   Managing a Windows Server 2003 Network Environment.
·   Configuring a Windows 2003 Server Network Infrastructure.
Programme Description
Study Units
We have used IT Professionals working in the industry to author study books covering the individual elements of the MCSA course (4 units). This adds a 'real-world' experience to the study.
Computer Based Training (CBT) Videos
Seetec 'Video Snippets' training videos supplied on CD-Rom 'give' lectures relating to the various study topics of the MCSA programme. These can be viewed from the comfort of your own home.
Virtual Training Centre
Access the Seetec Virtual Training Centre (VTC) in your own time and at your convenience. Areas available:

  • Self-assessment and mock test engine for all subject areas
  • Streaming Video tutorials
  • FAQs
  • Configurable personal details
  • On-line Progress Tracker allowing you to see where you are at any time
Help and Support
We offer full support for all programme routes comprising: e-mail support to a tutor (maximum 3 day response to all learning queries), Tutor initiated telephone support (if query response requires it) and VTC help (elements of forum, chat room and FAQs.)
Course Duration
18 months - to start 28 days after enrolment has been confirmed.
Exam Fees
Exams included on most programme routes. Optional 'Exam Pack' available.
In-Centre Attendance
In-centre attendance available on certain programme routes. A choice of either evening attendance over the course duration or 2 weeks intensive training taken in blocks of a minimum of 2 days at a time.
Hardware
Hardware required to undertake the practical elements of the programme is available on certain programme routes. Optional 'PC Pack' available. Call for details on specification.

Learning Options:

This course can be mixed and matched in any combination of the following four options:

Fully Online
Intensive
In-Centre
PC Pack
Allows the learner to achieve their chosen qualification without having to visit our training centres
 
Allows the learner to attend our Corporate training centre to gain additional hands-on experience for a period of up to two weeks
 
Gives additional access to our London or Corporate training centres for one-to-one training
 
An additional high specification hardware pack that contains all equipment required to complete the course
In every case the learner, for a given course, receives exactly the same access to materials, hardware and software detailed in the learning directory, and follows the same course structure, the only difference being the degree of one-to-one training and additional equipment they wish to receive.
