GMS Contract

The new GMS Contract (nGMS) has created numerous requirements which your practice will be paid for when they are delivered.  There are a number of different requirements, but the main one by far is the Quality Framework for clinical work.  All disease register based work will now be assessed, and scored which in turn will relate to payments made to the practice for the work done.  It is vital therefore that the practice has the correct tools to both enter data in the correct fashion and to produce reports on how the practice is performing during the year.

How does it work?
Our GMS Suite ensures your practice will be able to see exactly how it is performing during the GMS year.  At any stage, the report set can be run to see which quality indicators you are performing well against and which need some further work.  Every indicator will be displayed with percentages and points achieved so far.  There are also multiple screens designed to help your practice identify which patients within your disease groups still require additional data stored.

Patient by Patient...

A second feature is the intelligent GMS Module running during your day-to-day operation of GP Enterprise.  As you select your patients in the system to use for prescribing, consulting etc. the system will check the patient for work required for contract purposes (and therefore patient care).  Users will be presented with a simple to use screen, offering information on data overdue or due soon.  From there the user can enter these results immediately.

Connecting with QMAS

There is also a third significant module to the nGMS solution.  This allows the practice to connect with the Quality Management and Analysis System (QMAS).  QMAS is a National database of practice points.  It is essential therefore for practices to send their reports on a monthly basis, to ensure that correct payments in the right time frame are made for the practice.

PCT Tools

Seetec also offers another tool for the contract.  This is Quest Central.  Available from the PCT end and loaded/populated from the user ends, Quest Central delivers to the PCT a vast number of options, facts and figures at an individual or group of practices based level.  This works alongside QMAS in delivering to the PCT (and practice) every analysis of incoming quality work that they might wish to have.
