DWP is currently inviting Expressions of Interest from
organisations to bid to join a Framework agreement for the
provision of employment related support services. Seetec
will be participating in this procurement exercise. It is
anticipated that the new Framework and the contracts let under it,
including the Work Programme, will provide considerable
opportunities for partnership working. If your organisation

Location: Hockley, Essex
Hours: Full Time
Salary Circa: Competitive
Can you… proactively identify and research new
contract opportunities, respond to tender invitations by producing
creative and engaging bids, research regional and national labour
markets, establish relationships with partner organisations,
represent Seetec at meetings with government agencies and work as
part of a dynamic team to produce results to tight deadlines?
Do you… have a graduate background and/or
demonstrable experience writing bids or similar documents,
excellent communication skills, an organised, analytical approach
to work, a good eye for detail and a proactive ‘can do’ attitude?
Your role will involve supporting the Senior Management Team
in:
- Proactively researching and identifying regional and national
bidding opportunities for the Seetec Group to contribute to our
expansion in the training and employment market
- Producing responses to Pre-Qualification Questionnaires and
Invitation to Tender documents
- Attending bidding round briefings, industry conferences and
networking events across the country
- Developing innovative proposals to add value to bids
- Researching, Identifying and establishing potential
partnerships across the private, public, voluntary and community
sectors
- Researching and maintaining national and local labour market
data, vacancy and skill shortage information
- Identifying local employment issues and employer recruitment
needs to inform delivery models
- Monitoring and disseminating industry news/developments
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience of writing bids, proposals or similar
documents
- Preferably has experience in the employment, skills, adult
learning, higher or further education sectors and/or public sector
tendering or a graduate background with proven written skills
- Capable and confident of producing a high standard of written
work to reflect the quality of our provision
- Has an organised and analytical approach to work
- Can produce creative and engaging written material
- Can communicate at all levels and build relationships with
internal and external stakeholders
- Can work proactively as part of a team, generating innovative
solutions to problems and driving forward ideas to produce
results
- Has a good eye for detail, can effectively manage fluctuating
workloads, prioritise and work to deadlines
- Excellent all round IT skills
Has a ‘can do attitude’, enthusiasm, drive and a positive
outlook. Experience of bidding for DWP/Jobcentre Plus or
Learning Skills Council funding or of the adult learning, further
education, welfare to work, public or charity sectors would be
advantageous for this role.
