An Apprenticeship in retail and commercial enterprise will provide access to the largest employment opportunities in the private sector and consists of 30% of the UK’s workforce under the age of 25. It is predicted that the number of opportunities within this industry will increase dramatically and to meet this demand many employers will turn to Apprentices to meet their needs. The opportunities available to you will include either shop floor or back office in organisations such Chain Stores, independent shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes.

The Apprenticeship Programme will provide you with a unique blend of work based learning (on the shop floor or back office) together with technical certification which will serve to confirm theoretical understanding of the retail sector. The content of your training will directly reflect the skills required of apprentices in the industry, also providing many of the abilities necessary for your career progression.

Retail can provide successful candidates with good financial rewards, career progression, opportunities to specialise either via in-store or through a number of central positions which include procurement, design, IT, HR and logistics.
