Learning Towards a Better Future
What is an
Apprentice?
An Apprentice is an employee that earns while they learn,
benefiting from the same privileges as other employees and gaining
knowledge through hands-on experience from working alongside
experienced staff who pass on their expertise.
This together with achieving nationally recognised formal
qualifications is what makes the Apprenticeship programme a unique
opportunity, demonstrating both the skills and experience highly
sought after by employers.
Who is
eligible?
The Apprenticeship programme will take from 1 to 2 years to
complete, this will be ultimately dependant on the industry sector,
ability and the level of the qualification achieved.
Apprenticeships are available to anyone of the age of 16
years and over, resident in England and not currently in full time
education.
Why choose an
Apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are created in alignment with employers needs
which ensure the skills attained are not only relevant but provide
successful candidates with the competitive advantage over
alternative means of education and training. In certain instances
the Apprenticeship programme will offer UCAS points that will
contribute to further advanced qualifications such as university
degrees.
As an employee you will be earning a salary whilst training,
achieving qualifications that are delivered on the job. The
training/qualification will not only develop the skills pivotal to
your role as an apprentice, but will guide you and ensure success
in your future career.
The qualifications attained will consist of the technical
knowledge necessary to demonstrate understanding of the industry
relevant to the skills and their theoretical concepts.
Research shows that apprentices earn on average over £100,000
more throughout their lifetime than other employees.
